GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
Please review the following conditions for your booking with Silk Mill Cottage. By accepting your confirmation and checking into Silk Mill Cottage it is understood by all parties that you have reviewed and accepted the terms herein.
BOOKING AGREEMENT
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Upon confirmation of your booking you will receive a summary with instruction on how to settle your balance along with any due dates for payments. Nearer to the time of your stay, we will issue you with directions to the cottage and a code for our key safe. You may check into the cottage anytime AFTER 4pm on your date of arrival. Checkout is NO LATER than 10am. Early check-ins and late checkouts are admissible only by previous agreement. It is the guests’ responsibility to print, save or otherwise note their access code before arrival.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
The nightly rate for this property is for a double occupancy (2 guests) and is strictly capped at 4. If you intend to have additional guests join you in the cottage please ensure these are disclosed at the time of booking. If you need to add additional guests after your initial booking please advise us prior to arrival so that we may adequately supply the cottage for the additional guests and charge accordingly.
•The cottage is for the exclusive use of the registered guests and is not to be used to host parties or events that include additional unpaid guests.
•Temporary visits by unpaid guests are limited to a maximum of 5 people.
•If it becomes known to us after your check-in that you have additional unclaimed guests staying in the cottage, we will assess a penalty of £50.00 per guest, per stay, in addition to the normal nightly rate for these guests.
DATE CHANGES
Guests may request to change the dates of their booking free of charge, provided the dates they request are available. Booking made at special or last-minute rates may be subject to a surcharge should the special conditions under which their original reservation was made no longer apply.
HOLIDAY RENTAL DAMAGES
Guests authorise management to process charges for the costs of repair or replacement of damaged or missing items beyond normal use, excessive clean up, stains, odour removal, late check out, unclaimed extra guests or unscheduled cleaning costs. Any damages to Silk Mill Cottage should be communicated by the guest to management after arrival, and are expected to be covered by the guest, either through credit card or PayPal.
PARKING
Free parking is limited to one (1) vehicle. Vehicles should be parked in designated parking area only, this is located to the side of the property. Parking on the road is not permitted. Parking in the bays reserved for Silk Mill visitors is also not permitted. Additional free parking is 1 minutes’ walk away in the Gill Nethercott Centre.
SMOKING
Silk Mill Cottage is a NON SMOKING property and guests are not permitted to smoke anywhere inside the home at any time. Smoking is allowed outside but we request that you use provided ashtrays or otherwise properly dispose of cigarette butts.
•Smoking in the house will result in a damage penalty of £100, plus the cost for reparation or replacement of any items in the home burned or damaged as a result.
PETS
Pets are not permitted at Silk Mill Cottage under any circumstances.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We HIGHLY recommend all guests purchase travel insurance.
LOST AND FOUND
We will make every effort to locate any possessions left behind. Please email us if you have lost any items. If found, we will email you requesting the postal address, and will post the items back to you for the cost of the packaging and postage, which will be charged to your credit card or invoiced via PayPal. Any items found in homes will be kept for 30 days. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity.
RIGHT TO REFUSAL OF SERVICE
The management reserve the right to refuse service if guests have not claimed the proper number of guests staying, or if either party has adequate reason to believe that the property or content thereof will be put at unnecessary risk during a guest’s stay for reasons such as, but not limited to, the use of illicit substances on the premises, unauthorised gatherings, excessively loud and disrespectful behaviour, or reservation obtained under false pretence.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
CANCELLATION POLICY – Free cancellation as long as you cancel at least 7 days before check-in (time shown in your confirmation email). After that, any amounts paid are non-refundable.
DISCLAIMER
Silk Mill Cottage is privately owned. The owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities, nor are they responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests expressly assume the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises.

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.silkmillcottage.co.uk. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:
1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
